Indoor, outdoor and "out-outdoor" sleeping[ edit ] This concept first appeared on their trip to AndongNorth Gyeongsang when the cast were split up into YB and OB teams to determine their sleeping locations through a game of Bok-bul-bok.
Wait, but then she says she likes men who are pretty-ugly.2 Days & 1 Night - Welcome the New Member! Part 2 (2013.05.05)
Who would she hate to go on a trip with? Of all the men in the world, not him! Ha, I wonder if that was the most diplomatic choice since she knows him? Either that or she has really weird taste, as the boys note. She says she was really nervous around him, but he never once treated her as a woman just as a friend right awayand the guys all joke that it may have been her first kiss, but Tae-hyun had had SO MANY by then.
When they arrive, New PD offers up to the cast the question of how to divide the teams into four versus four.

The boys decide that Joo-won and Kang-hee should be on opposite teams, and tell her to choose three teammates. She kicks Tae-hyun out first, and Jong-min quickly follows. I like that the losers pile up like carcasses. But the final team ends up: Hae-jin, Joo-won, Su-geun, and Kang-hee.
The boys land on a cute naming convention for their teams, Hobulho, which follows the construction of Bokbulbok to mean Liked, Not Liked. What, you have to root for the rejects!
I do like the running theme of Tae-hyun vs. Well then screw you! The two teams head to their first mission location, and Kang-hee gets behind the wheel to drive her team.

Have you seen the show? Well that sounds a lot easier than trying not to fall into a lake. Well someone needs to.
The other team gets changed and gets ready for their banana boat ride. Do you remember that? Good ones, I mean. Where else do you get year-olds consistently playing 30, and not the other way around? Anyway, after a while Team Kang-hee wins lunch, and Team Tae-hyun gets down to their last chance.
They end up losing, which is quite sad. Ha, so both teams get an extra round of games, but for opposite reasons. On the other hand, Team Tae-hyun wants something to eat and suggests a shorter game for less food. So Tae-hyun goes out to try and win some food for his team with another round of rock-paper-scissors… and loses. Season 2 ended up being a misfire Why exactly am I talking about the staff line up? The strength of Season 1 was the cast and one of the strengths of Nah Young Suk PD was his ability to take his brigade of jolly men and make them supremely likeable.
The crew led by the now famous Nah Young Suk PD It was never about the destination but the fun that was had on the journey there with a group of close friends. Every set piece in the show was designed as a way of making the cast seem closer knit and approachable.
Even the constant cast versus staff battles were a way of creating artificial conflicts to get the cast to seem more like one cohesive unit.
That concept eventually expanded to include the staff as well and so by the end of Season 1, viewers gained an attachment to both the cast and the staff. Season 2 somewhat disappointing cast line up This is however where Season 2 fell very flat.
On the surface, that kind of approach seems to be a natural extension to the foundation that Nah Young Suk PD laid down but there is a key difference that ends up undermining the whole concept. In both of these sports based shows, the ultimate goal was to improve their skills and get a series of winning results.
There was a bigger emphasis on bigger and bigger set pieces and games as a device to move each episode forward with the goal being a better meal and a better sleeping environment.
It became less about the people and more about the games.
